Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. YOUR ACCEPTANCE CONSTITUTES A BINDING LEGAL AGREEMENT.

All guests staying overnight or participating in any activity hosted or managed by Las Lajas Ranch, LLC must sign a Las Lajas Guest Agreement upon arrival. These Terms and Conditions also govern your dealings with Las Lajas Ranch, Ltd., Las Lajas Outfitters, LLC, and Las Lajas Beef & Game, LLC (collectively, “the Las Lajas Entities”), as applicable, and are cumulative to any other applicable terms and conditions except to the extent specified therein.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY

All guests are required to complete and sign an ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT prior to entering Las Lajas Ranch. Any guest who has not received or completed this form assumes responsibility for notifying ranch staff immediately so that they can receive a copy for immediate completion and signature.

TEXAS AGROTOURISM LIABILITY WARNING

Under Texas law (Chapter 75A, Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an agritourism entity is not liable for injury, death, or damage to property arising from the inherent risks of agritourism activities. The Las Lajas Entities are agrotourism entities. By engaging in agritourism activities at Las Lajas Ranch, you acknowledge and assume the inherent risks associated with rural land, wildlife, livestock, uneven terrain, weather conditions, agricultural operations, hunting activities, and other natural hazards. For more information please refer to your Guest Agreement and your Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Indemnity.

TEXAS CIVIL PRACTICE & REMEDIES CODE CHAPTER 75

To the extent that activities conducted on Las Lajas Ranch constitute “recreational use” under Chapter 75 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code, guests acknowledge and agree that rural land contains inherent hazards and that the Las Lajas Entities shall owe no more duty to recreational users than is strictly required under Texas law.

FIREARMS

Firearms must be stored in the secured vault maintained by Las Lajas Outfitters, LLC, upon check-in, and may not be left in vehicles or guest quarters. Rifles and shotguns may only be removed for authorized hunting or range activities. Guests who bring firearms to the ranch assume full responsibility for their safe handling, storage, and compliance with all applicable laws and ranch policies. Under no circumstances will the Las Lajas Entities be responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from firearm use or misuse by guests or members of their party.

MINORS

Guests bringing minors are solely responsible for their supervision and safety at all times. Parents or legal guardians assume all risks on behalf of minors accompanying them.

RURAL & REMOTE CONDITIONS

Las Lajas Ranch is located in a rural environment where emergency medical services, law enforcement response, and other emergency assistance may be delayed. By visiting the ranch, guests acknowledge and accept these conditions and the inherent risks of being unable to access medical care promptly.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Las Lajas Entities shall not under any circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Use of the ranch property
  • Participation in ranch activities
  • Use of the website
  • Lodging services
  • Interaction of any kind with the Las Lajas Entities

INDEMNIFICATION

Guests agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Las Lajas Entities and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Their conduct on ranch property
  • Participation in ranch activities
  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Damage to ranch property
  • Injuries caused by any members of their party or their pets

FORCE MAJEURE

Las Lajas Ranch reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel reservations, services, or activities due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Wildlife activity
  • Safety concerns
  • Natural disasters
  • Equipment failure
  • Governmental orders
  • Public health concerns

STAFF GRATUITY

For groups of more than four (4) people, Las Lajas Ranch, LLC (“Las Lajas Ranch”) will assess a nightly gratuity of 15% on all services and hosted activities, which will be added to your final invoice.

RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel your reservation with no penalty if you do so before 11:59 PM Central Time of the 15th day prior to your scheduled arrival date. After that, a cancellation fee equal to the total room charges (plus applicable taxes) will apply. Cancellations must be submitted via email to info@laslajasranch.us.

Room cancellation terms for corporate clients or contracted groups are governed by your event-specific agreement.

ACTIVITY AND SERVICE CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel a booked activity or service with no penalty if done more than 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations will be charged in full, plus applicable taxes. Cancellations must be submitted via email to info@laslajasranch.us.

RESERVATION MODIFICATIONS

Changes to reservation dates, length of stay, or booked activities may result in rate adjustments.

MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDERS

Eligible guests may receive a discount on lodging rates. A valid ID must be presented at check-in. This discount does not apply to already discounted rates.

PROMOTIONAL CODES

Only one promotion or discount may be used per reservation. Promotions cannot be combined.

PETS

We allow pets and emotional support animals with a $250 non-refundable cleaning fee (ADA-compliant service animals are exempt). The following terms and conditions apply as a prerequisite to the admission of any pets on Las Lajas Ranch:

  • Pets must be vaccinated and Las Lajas Ranch reserves the right to require proof of vaccination.
  • Pets must remain leashed outdoors and kenneled if left unattended indoors.
  • Housekeeping will not service rooms with loose pets.
  • Pets may not join ranch activities, except walking or hiking trails.
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their animals on ranch property.
  • Pets are not allowed in common indoor areas. Service animals are exempt from this restriction.
  • Under no circumstances will the Las Lajas Entities be responsible for any loss of or injury to pets, regardless of the cause.
  • Guests accept joint and several responsibility for damages, injuries or disturbances caused by any pets that arrived with any members or guests of their party.
  • Las Lajas Ranch reserves the right to impose additional conditions at any time and without further notice.

PRIVACY POLICY

All guests agree to the terms in our Privacy Policy.

POLICY OVERSIGHT & MODIFICATIONS

The Las Lajas Entities reserve the right to interpret, amend, or finalize these Terms and Conditions. All decisions by the management are final.

In addition, the Las Lajas Entities may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be published in writing and all changes are deemed to be in effect as of the moment they are published.

GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. You agree that all claims or disputes related to your stay will be filed in the courts of Webb County, Texas, in the City of Laredo. Any contrary law or jurisdiction requirements are expressly waived.
